How we count business days
Not using AI yet? Start with readiness. Staff already using it? Choose governance.
Get AI under control
AI Governance
review
Know how AI is used in your business, and show you are in control of it.
Why it matters
Your staff are probably already using AI, often with customer or personal information,
and often without agreed rules. UK data protection law already applies to that use,
including rules for decisions AI makes about people. Customers, insurers and
regulators are starting to ask how you control it, and the EU AI Act applies if your
AI outputs are used in the EU.
Government research shows how wide the gap is. Only 17% of UK businesses using AI have
any AI policy or guidelines, and 46% are not aware of any regulatory guidance on AI
(DSIT, UK Business Data Survey 2026). Only 24% of businesses using or considering AI have processes to manage its cyber
security risks (Cyber Security Breaches Survey 2025/2026).
How the review solves it
- Find out what is in use: a record of your AI tools, drawn from your answers
-
Know where you stand: each gap rated against UK GDPR, ICO guidance and ISO/IEC 42001
- Fix it in order: prioritised actions, with the effort each one takes
- Answer with confidence: a report you can use when customers or insurers ask
Report within 10 working days after submission.

LinkedIn profile ↗
I'm a fractional CTO who's spent the last decade building and running technology for
companies that can't afford to get compliance wrong. I work across AI governance for
regulated industries in the UK, EU and US, covering everything from the EU AI Act to
GDPR to FCA requirements.
My background is hands-on, not theoretical. I've been CTO or founder at half a dozen
companies, including a SaaS analytics platform for supply chains, a real-money gaming
platform under FCA-adjacent scrutiny, and several ventures building generative AI
products from the ground up. That range means I've seen how AI risk actually plays out
inside a business, not just how it looks in a framework.
I built Claridyne because most AI advice for SMEs is either too generic to act on or too
technical to trust. My assessments identify what to do next, backed by someone who's
actually built and shipped the systems I'm assessing.
Do we need to be using AI already?
No. The readiness assessment is designed to help you understand your starting point,
including when your business has not adopted AI yet.
What does “3 business days” mean?
3 full days on Monday to Friday, excluding England and Wales bank holidays, starting
when you submit the completed readiness questionnaire. Weekends and bank holidays do
not count towards the deadline. Your portal displays the calculated deadline.
What information should we provide?
Describe your processes, systems and types of data. Please do not submit passwords,
API keys, personal customer records or special-category personal data.
Is the governance review a certification or legal advice?
No. It is an advisory review of your AI governance, based on your answers and any
documents you share. It identifies gaps and priorities. It is not legal advice, does
not certify compliance with any law or standard, and does not include security
testing.
Can we save the questionnaire and come back?
Yes. Use Save progress whenever you want to pause. Your assessment keeps the same
questions even if a newer questionnaire is published later.
Can we cancel an assessment?
You can request cancellation from your portal. We review the request and any refund
due under the agreed terms. Submitting a request does not automatically issue a
refund.
A better next step
starts with clarity.
